Welcome to the Minnesota Governmental Prayer Alliance. The time is now for the Church of Minnesota to respond to the call for intercession that will help shift the government and tip the scales towards righteousness and justice to bring the Kingdom of God to both our state and nation. The Lord is aligning Governmental Intercessors across the state of Minnesota to be a voice for righteousness and to help build a canopy of prayer for government and the judicial system of the state and nation.
Governmental Intercession is not only prayer for governments and leaders; it is any prayer or action that releases God's authority, will, rule and government on the earth. We welcome you to partner with us as take our place in God's kingdom governing body that He is building in Minnesota.
"Let us look forward to the time when we can take the flag of our country and nail it below the Cross, and there let it wave as it waved in the olden times, and let us gather around it ...and exclaim, Christ first, our country next!?"

Our Beginnings

The MNGPA was launched in January, 2006. In June of that year, after receiving a word from Dutch Sheets, (referencing the exploits of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during WWII) that the 'Screaming Eagles must arise', we felt God's quickening that He was commissioning us as the Screaming Eagles of Minnesota.
We have adopted the mission statement of the 101st Airborne Division as our standard for participation in God?s rising Army, as adapted for our spiritual mission:
The MNGPA is an air assault division of the Army of God. Nicknamed the 'Screaming Eagles of Minnesota', the MNGPA will endeavor to consistently distinguish itself by demonstrating the highest standards of spiritual warfare professionalism and protocol. On Aug. 19, 1942, the first commander of the 101st Airborne Division, Maj. Gen. William C. Lee, promised his new recruits that although the new division had no history, it would soon have a 'rendezvous with destiny'. The MNGPA has accepted the following General Order that was issued to the 101st Airborne Division in 1942.
General Order number five, which gave birth to the division, reads:
"The MNGPA has no history, but it has a rendezvous with destiny. Like the early American pioneers whose invincible courage was the foundation stone of this nation, we have broken with the past and its traditions in order to establish our claim to the future."
Due to the nature of our armament [our spiritual weapons of prayer, fasting, and the Word of the Lord], and the tactics in which we shall perfect ourselves, we shall be called upon to carry out operations of far-reaching spiritual importance and we shall habitually go into action when the need is immediate and extreme.
Let me call your attention to the fact that our symbol is the great American eagle. This is a fitting emblem for a division that will crush its enemies by falling upon them like a thunderbolt from the skies.
The history we shall make, the record of high achievement we hope to write in the annals of God's Army, depends wholly and completely on the men and women of the Body of Christ. Each individual, must therefore regard him or herself as a necessary part of a complex and powerful instrument for the overcoming of the enemies of the nation. Each must realize that he is not only a means, but an indispensable means for obtaining the goal of victory. It is, therefore, not too much to say that the future itself, in whose molding we expect to have our share, is in the hands of the Soldiers of the Army of the Lord.
