The Minnesota Governmental Prayer Alliance is a ministry dedicated to enlisting, encouraging and mobilizing effective Governmental Intercessors across the state of Minnesota for the purpose of seeing the will and rule of God established in the government and judicial system of the State of Minnesota and this nation.

By joining the MN Governmental Prayer Alliance:

• You will be kept aware, through email updates, of current issues that face our state and nation concerning righteousness and justice.
  
  
• You will be Governmental Intercessors that help to tip the scales towards righteousness and godliness in the state of MN and the nation, through effective prayer and intercession.
  
  
• We encourage you to seek to serve those in governmental and judicial positions through effective prayer and intercession. You may choose to serve a particular governmental or judicial leader of your choosing, by praying for them, their family and their staff, and letting them know who their current intercessors are and the city they are from.
  
  
• You will be encouraged to take your group to the your county government center and to the State Capitol. There are weekly prayer meetings being held in the state capitol when the legislature is in session.
  
  
• You will be provided opportunities to attend Regional and Statewide Governmental Intercession Training Meetings and to meet with other Governmental Intercessors.
  
  
• Will you answer the call of Governmental Intercession and begin the journey that will impact the course of history that will be charted for our state and this nation?
  

• A Servant's heart is key in praying for those in authority;
  
  
• Rely on the authority of God's word and the things He has already decreed in the earth as you pray;
  
  
• Commit to pray for Governor Pawlenty on a consistent basis, as well as other state leaders that you may chose;
  
  
• Commit to pray for President Bush, the judiciary system and issues concerning righteousness and justice in our nation;
  
  
• Commit to pray for your local governmental leaders within your city and county;
  
  
• Our prayers should be based on faith, rooted in a sincere love for those for whom we are praying;
  
  
• Specific prayer requests received from the governmental leader should be kept in confidence;
  
  
• We encourage correspondence that would encourage the governmental leader. Concise notes of encouragement are appropriate;
  
  
• Listen for Holy Spirit to speak specific requests; keep His confidences as He shares with you;
  
  
• You will be encouraged, but not required to attend special events sponsored by the MNGPA, such as monthly prayer gatherings (see the calendar for details and location);
  
  
• There are several ongoing works at the Capitol; you are encouraged to participate there whenever possible;
  
  
• Be faithful to your commitment to Governmental Intercession;
  
  
• If you live outside the Twin Cities metro area, consider starting a regular prayer gathering in your area.
